The Asthma Foundation is New Zealand’s not-for-profit sector authority on asthma and other respiratory conditions.

We advocate to government and raise awareness of respiratory illnesses, fund research for better treatments and educate on best practice.   We provide resources and support our affiliated Asthma Societies and trusts in providing education, support and advisory services. There are 15 affiliated Asthma Societies and trusts throughout New Zealand that can offer one-to-one education, tips, techniques and support for dealing with, and enabling better self-management of, respiratory conditions. They can also help you find chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) support groups around the country.
