Health experts push for change in vital lung disease test
In October 2024, the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation hosted a two-day workshop with 26 multidisciplinary health professionals from around the country to form a Spirometry Think Tank to discuss spirometry testing.
From that meeting, a briefing was drafted and sent to the Minister of Health to urge the Government to take urgent action to improve access to and awareness of spirometry in New Zealand.
