New Zealand’s passive house design and building innovator eHaus is continuing their ongoing support of Kiwis with respiratory conditions.

eHaus has re-signed as a Silver Sponsor in the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation’s Friends of the Foundation programme. “eHaus was the first company to join us when the Friends of the Foundation programme launched in 2020. They shared our vision for improving the respiratory health of all New Zealanders and have been loyal supporters of our work since then,” says Foundation Chief Executive Letitia Harding.

Ms Harding explains that long-term partnerships with like-minded companies like eHaus are essential to the Foundation. “We receive no Government funding, so we are reliant on the generosity of individuals and business who understand the value of good respiratory health and are committed to making a difference in this area.”

eHaus National Marketing Manager Sarah Carson says eHaus has long understood the link between a healthy home and good respiratory health. “Living in a warm and dry environment is good for everyone, but for people with a respiratory condition it is vital for them to stay well. Constructing the healthiest, energy-efficient homes is our goal, and the work the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation does, is a perfect fit for eHaus.”

Respiratory health continues to be a significant issue for New Zealand: respiratory conditions are the third most common cause of death for Kiwis and cause one in every 11 hospitalisations. Ms Harding explains: “Changing these statistics is the Foundation’s priority, but we can only achieve this through a broad, collective effort. We are so grateful to eHaus for stepping up and being part of this work.”
